Public holidays during lay-offs
You can receive an earnings-related allowance for any public holidays that fall during your lay-off on the same grounds as for the other days of your lay-off.
You cannot receive an earnings-related allowance for public holidays if your employer pays you full holiday compensation for public holidays or does not deduct public holidays from your pay.
If your employer pays you holiday compensation based on part-time work, your allowance will be adjusted accordingly.
